Einleitend
wird zunächst die Besonderheit der Vergesellschaftung
mehrerer Metalle in einer Verbindung bzw.
einem Arzneimittel aufgezeigt. Anschließend werden
verschiedene Möglichkeiten zur Vereinigung von Metallen
mithilfe pharmazeutischer Prozesse beschrieben,
monografierten Arzneimittel Cuprum D5 1 Teil/Stibium
D5 2 Teile diskutiert. Abschließend wird der Bezug
zum erst später entdeckten, natürlich vorkommenden
Mineral Cuprostibit hergestellt.
Abstract
In this article, the peculiarity of Cupro-Stibium as a
product of a pharmaceutical laboratory process from
two metals is elaborated. By way of introduction, the
peculiarity of the association of several metals in a
compound or a pharmaceutical is first pointed out.
Subsequently, various possibilities of combining metals
with the help of pharmaceutical processes are described,
before the manufacture of Cupro-Stibium as a
melt is specifically explained and the alloying process
between antimony and copper is dealt with intensively.
The focus of our own experimental investigations was
on the interaction between antimony and copper as a
function of the mass ratios used. X-ray diffraction and
microscopic examinations provide information on the
interaction of the metals copper and antimony as a
basis for the alloy properties at different mass ratios.
The choice and significance of the experimental series
is evident from the historical developments of the
medicinal product Cupro-Stibium D6, some of which
are only poorly documented. About the indications of
Cupro-Stibium, the proximity to the medicinal product
Cuprum D5 1 part/Stibium D5 2 parts monographed by
Commission C is discussed. Finally, the reference to the
naturally occurring mineral cuprostibite, which was
only discovered later, is made.
