Abstract
In the Education for Special Needscourse kleptomania is said to be due to lack of relationship to moral behaviour. The individual with kleptomania has done the deed before becoming aware of making things in the world around him his own. Intensive special education and medical treatment are therefore needed. On the one hand this starts with organic awareness of the limbs, and on the other it calls for fundamental catchup learning of moral sentience. The article describes the symptoms of kleptomania, especially in children, the constitutional preconditions as described by Rudolf Steiner and attempts to find the psychiatrical classification. Finally approaches are presented to a comprehensive individual educational and medical treatment. Steiner generalized, considering the whole broad social spectrum of kleptomaniac phenomena, including the nearness of the condition to power.
