Abstract
Cinis Capsellae comp. is an ointment
for the treatment of wounds
based on a notice made by Rudolf
Steiner. The history of the ointment
is considered, elucidating
the principles that led to a revision
of the product. A description
follows of the manufacturing
process with its impressive sequence
of colours. Some aspects
of the anthroposophical background
to the ointment are considered,
with the water-soluble
ash minerals of the three plants
wormwood, ribwort plantain and
shepherds’ purse and their relationship
to the human ‘phantom
body’ playing a central role. Brief
case records to demonstrate the
use of the ointment follow in
conclusion.
