Abstract
In this article the medicinal plants and different methods of
Choleodoron® production and similar products are discussed.
Special attention is paid to Rudolf Steiner’s comment that
one might also use the mistletoe mixing machine to combine
Chelidonium and Curcuma extracts. Consideration is then given
to the page from Rudolf Steiner’s notebook that was only discovered
in the 1950s. Apart from the two Choleodoron® plants this
listed pumpkins as a third one. The development of a turbulence
spinner is described where the movement of fluids meets Rudolf
Steiner’s specifications. This is capable of dispersing lipophilic
and hydrophilie substances or extracts and also emulsify them
by using more powerful shear forces.
The extraction methods for the three medicinal plants are considered,
also introducing a glycerol and water mixture as diluant,
this avoids the use of an ethanol and water mixture and reduced
the ethanol content of the finished mixture to about 4 %. Details
are given of the manufacture of the new product, ’Chelicur’ in
short, from Chelidonium, Curcuma and Cucurbita in our own
turbulence spinner. Connections are being established with the
viscin constituent and the mucilage in the berries.
The principle of composition used for ’Chelicur’ which concerns
the actions of the individual medicinal plants on the levels of
human existence can also be found in other original formulations
given by Rudolf Steiner. It is shown where ’Chelicur’ differs
from Choleodoron® and where they are the same. Shelf life is
given, as are the status of a pharmacy-dispensed product, the
complete formulation of ’Chelicur’which the prescribing physician
must write out and some potential uses.
